Fei Best Build Guide | Chaos Zero Nightmare

Chaos Zero Nightmare's roster keeps growing, and Fei might be the most mechanically dense Void Ranger the game has released so far. Rather than hitting hard once and calling it a day, she brings an entirely different playstyle that many will find very interesting.

Fei builds momentum through two brand-new resources which are called Descent and Flame art that turns a pile of cheap, zero-cost cards into a long chain of extra attacks and a devastating finisher.

She rewards players who like managing their cards in-hand instead of just mashing the strongest card available without any sort of direction moving forward when playing. If you're planning to pull for her on release, it's worth having your account topped up ahead of time so you're not scrambling mid-banner.

Who Is Fei and What Makes Her Kit Different?

Fei: Void Ranger

Fei is a 5-star Void Ranger built around repeated hits rather than one big burst. Her whole kit revolves around two stacking resources: Descent, which builds toward her signature finisher card, and Flame art, which triggers bonus attacks along the way. Instead of simply just relying on a handful of powerful cards, Fei floods her deck with cheap zero-cost attacks and lets her passives do the heavy lifting.

Understanding Descent and Flamart Stacks

Descent and Flame Art

Descent is the resource that matters most for burst damage. Once it hits 8 stacks, Fei automatically generates a Heaven's Fall card that is to say a high-multiplier finisher that consumes the stacks and can be created multiple times per turn if you build Descent fast enough.

Flame art on the other hand works entirely different. Every time it reaches 3 stacks, Fei fires off a bonus attack worth 120% damage on whatever enemy she last hit, then resets. Because her core attack card, Inferno Rhapsody, is zero-cost and easy to pull from the draw pile, you'll usually be triggering Flamart several times per turn just from normal play.

What Are the Best Epiphanies to Prioritize?

Fei has several epiphany choices, but two stand out for most teams. The first option which is the Exorcist Formation will add eight Inferno Rhapsody cards to your draw pile with a +50% damage bonus, and since the Inferno Rhapsody Card’s base damage is really low, that flat bonus scales better than it looks on paper.

The alternate version trades one fewer card for a 100% bonus attack whenever Flame art activates, which is usually worth it given how often you'll trigger Flame art in a normal turn.

Further down her epiphany tree, the option that boosts her Heaven's Fall damage based on hit count is worth chasing if you're building around a high multi-hit team, since Heaven's Fall can scale well past its base damage with enough hits stacked on.

Best Teams for Fei?

Fei's own developers have pointed to three main team shells depending on what you're building around:

Team Compositions

If you're still gearing up your roster and need extra characters or resources to fill these teams out, a top-up through OLD STORE  can help you get there faster without overpaying.

How to Play Fei Round by Round

The playstyle for is pretty straightforward and basic. The cycle is simple once you understand it: Use your Inferno Rhapsody cards early on so you can build Flame art and trigger bonus attacks, try to also keep an eye on Descent as it climbs toward 8 stacks, and then let Heaven's Fall fire off automatically.

When you reach the end of the turn, immediately use her signature card to pull spent Inferno Rhapsody cards back into your deck so you do not start the next turn empty-handed. It's kinda like a rhythm that takes a few turns to get used to, but once it clicks and you understand it, Fei can keep on dealing out huge amounts of damage turn after turn without too much downtime.

Final Thoughts on Fei

Fei isn't a just character you pick up and understand in five minutes, but that's exactly what actually makes her fun to play. As per her new resources Descent and Flame art systems that reward players who likes to plan out a full turn instead of just picking the biggest number on screen, and her ceiling with the right epiphanies and team support is genuinely high to be honest.
