Official Confirmation From Reliable Leakers
It is through the well-known Fortnite leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR that it was announced that the Samurai Jack collaboration with Fortnite will be launched soon. HYPEX and ShiinaBR are among the most respected leakers in the Fortnite community, and their confirmation of new features is always taken seriously by the fans. They shared the news after they noticed more and more hints hidden in the patch files, and also from changes in the API's, so basically the cooperation will definitely take place.
Why this leak is credible:
- HYPEX and ShiinaBR have an established track record of accurate Fortnite leaks
- Both leakers confirmed simultaneously, reducing false rumor possibility
- The leak came from official data mining, not speculation
- Samurai Jack is an iconic enough property to justify a major collaboration
The fact that multiple reliable sources confirmed this at the same time makes it nearly certain that Samurai Jack cosmetics are coming to Fortnite.
Who is Samurai Jack and Why This Matters
As a reminder to those who are not quite familiar with the legend. Besides being a popular anime, this character stands amongst the most revered of all time as cartoon characters. An adults-only animated series was the initial format through which it found the airwaves on the Cartoon Network and it went on to inspire generations to come. Jack comes from a past world as a wandering swordsman who is magically taken to a futuristic ruined Earth where he battles Aku (a powerful demon) alone while his only defenses are the traditional weapon (a katana blade) and his unwavering loyalty to his code of honor!
Why Samurai Jack in Fortnite makes sense:
- Jack's character is instantly recognizable across generations
- The samurai aesthetic fits perfectly with Fortnite's cosmetic style
- Anime collaborations have been hugely successful for Fortnite (Dragon Ball, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen)
- Samurai Jack fans have been requesting this collab for years
- The franchise has maintained cultural relevance through recent revival content
This collaboration appeals to both long-time anime fans and newer players discovering the character for the first time through Fortnite.
Expected Cosmetics
While Epic Games has not officially announced specific details, leaks and historical patterns suggest what the collaboration will likely include.
Jack skin (likely):
It's very probable that the leading character will get his skin completed with a full character skin showing his samurai outfit, that he wears the most of the show. This will be the main cosmetic, the one everyone will be talking about of the whole collaboration.
Aku skin (possibility):
The major villain may have his own skin made for him, continuing the trend of including both good guys and bad guys in Fortnite anime collabs. Aku's demon form would be a very cool cosmetic to go with.
Supporting character skins:
Minor characters such as Ashi, Daughters of Aku, or Scaramouche - they should perhaps get cosmetics for them, but with the condition being that Jack is getting it is much more certain.
Weapon skins:
Different from one of Jack's signature weapons - the katana sword - and other weapons of the series - could be released as weapon wraps or pickaxes under the cosmetic theme of the collaboration.
Back blings and accessories:Jack's signature blue gi jacket or other iconic items could appear as back bling cosmetics tied to the character skin.
Emotes:Fortnite could add signature animations or movements from the series, allowing players to perform Samurai Jack moves in-game.
Release Date Speculation
While no official release date has been confirmed, leakers suggest the collaboration arrives "soon." Based on Fortnite's collaboration schedule and the fact that the leak came recently, speculation puts the likely window as follows:
Potential timeline:
- Earliest likely: Late July 2026
- Most likely: August 2026 (start of new season)
- Latest estimate: September 2026
Samurai Jack's History in Pop Culture
Samurai Jack came on television screens in 2001 via Cartoon Network, completed 5 seasons and finally came to an end. Fans cherished the show mainly for the special kind of hand-drawn animation that goes with it, the thought-provoking story behind its production, the strength of the main character, who was rarely shown doing very active things. After lots of urging from a huge and very vocal fan base the show went to Adult Swim as a comeback season in 2017. The revival has been a hit with the fans since it has proven Jack's lasting importance to them.
Why now for Fortnite:
- The franchise maintains a dedicated fanbase 23 years after debut
- Recent revival content (2017) kept the series in public consciousness
- Anime collaborations are at peak popularity in Fortnite
- Adult Swim properties rarely get gaming collaborations, making this unique
- The character's design translates perfectly to cosmetics
The timing of this leak in mid-2026 suggests Epic Games is capitalizing on continued interest in the franchise.
Conclusion
Samurai Jack has been confirmed by trusted leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR to be joining Fortnite as characters. Since the cosmetics and the release date have not been officially announced by the makers, it is highly likely that a Jack skin will arrive together with other cosmetics such as an Aku skin, weapon wraps, and themed accessories. The release is planned for July or August 2026 as a seasonal update or mid-season event collaboration. This collaboration is expected to be one of the Fortnite's most exciting anime collaboration plans for 2026. When Samurai Jack cosmetics are launched in the virtual marketplace, one of the best and most practical ways to keep the account active while waiting for that one skin on day one is to use OLD STORE for your Fortnite top up.
