Who Is Marlena?

Marlena is a UR Warrior Carry focused almost entirely on dealing massive Energy Damage. Unlike tank heroes that protect the team or support heroes that provide buffs, Marlena's job is simple: Eliminate priority targets, Burst down bosses, Carry PvE progression, Finish fights quickly in PvP.

Her damage scales extremely well with hero investment, making every upgrade significantly more valuable than many other carries. Because of this, experienced players often recommend building Marlena immediately after finishing Arthur.

Why Marlena Is One of the Best Heroes

Marlena is always in the top 3 damage dealers in Last Asylum: Plague by doing good burst damage, having great Energy Damage scaling, and being effective in almost every game mode. Whether you're clearing the campaign, challenging alliance bosses, or fighting in PvP, she consistently does the damage, especially late game. Here are some of her strengths that put her among the best UR heroes to invest in.

Incredible Burst Damage

Marlena possesses some of the highest damage scaling currently available in Last Asylum. Once her Ultimate reaches higher levels, it becomes capable of deleting enemy backlines within seconds.

Excellent Boss Killer

Marlena is one of the strongest heroes you can use in a boss-centered niche since her kit revolves around dealing both high and consistent Energy Damage. Boss fights tend to be characterized by high sustained DPS, so that you can optimize your scores and rewards. Marlena scales very well into these fights, successfully quite a few of the most difficult encounters such as the Rat King, Event Bosses, Alliance Hunts, Elite Enemies, and even some difficult PvE encounters where her constant damage output can help your team clear content faster for higher scores. If you want to bring your damage scores to new heights, she's among the best heroes to use.

Amazing Long-Term Scaling

One of Marlena's greatest strengths is her outstanding long-term scaling. While many SSR heroes gradually lose effectiveness as players reach the late game, Marlena continues to grow stronger with every major upgrade. Increasing her Hero Level, Star Rank, Skill Levels, Equipment quality, Hero Awakening, and Faction bonuses all contribute to significant improvements in her damage output. Because each progression system enhances her already powerful offensive capabilities, every resource invested in Marlena provides lasting value. This excellent scalability makes her one of the safest UR heroes to build for players planning to tackle endgame PvE content, alliance activities, and competitive PvP.

Marlena Skill Priority

One mistake many new players make is upgrading every skill equally. Instead, focus on the abilities that provide the biggest increase in total damage.

1. Ultimate Skill ★★★★★

Always max this first. Her Ultimate is responsible for the majority of her burst damage.

Benefits include:

• Massive Energy Damage
• Multi-target attacks
• Strong scaling
• Faster boss clears

Every level noticeably improves her overall DPS.

2. Passive Skill ★★★★★

Her passive amplifies Energy Damage and greatly increases the effectiveness of every offensive stat you build. After upgrading the Ultimate, prioritize the passive because it boosts her entire damage rotation.

3. Active Skill ★★★★☆

Her secondary offensive skill deals respectable burst damage and becomes stronger at higher star levels. Upgrade it after your Ultimate and Passive.

4. Basic Attack ★★☆☆☆

Although basic attacks contribute consistent damage between abilities, they provide the smallest overall increase. Upgrade this last.

Best Marlena Equipment Build

Equipment dramatically changes Marlena's performance. Unlike tanks that prioritize survivability, Marlena should focus almost entirely on offensive stats.

Best Main Stats

To maximize Marlena's damage potential, prioritize offensive attributes that increase both her burst damage and sustained DPS. Since she relies heavily on powerful Energy-based skills, focusing on Attack, Critical stats, and skill-enhancing attributes will provide the greatest return on your gear investments.

Avoid investing heavily into HP or DEF unless you lack a proper frontline. A dead DPS deals no damage, but overbuilding defensive stats also reduces her potential.

Recommended Gear Priority

According to community guides, Marlena benefits more from offensive equipment than nearly any other hero in the game because her passive multiplies those Attack investments.

Weapon upgrades provide the biggest increase in attack scaling.

Best Hero Awakening Priority

Hero Awakening is one of the most powerful progression systems because it greatly increased a hero's total combat power with more passives and just stronger skills. You should use your resources on the most valuable heroes as all awakening materials are precious.

For Marlena, Awakening should be considered a late-game priority after you have already developed her core progression:

1. Hero Level

2. Star Rank

3. Skill Levels

4. High-quality Equipment

5. Hero Awakening

By Awakening, she increases her strong burst damage by unlocking tighter burst windows and scaling even further into endgame PvE and competitive PvP. As she still remains the top carry hero, most seasoned players find her to be an ideal choice for Awakening investment once your core team is ready.

Best Team for Marlena

Marlena performs best when protected by durable front-line heroes.

Her ideal lineup usually follows this structure:

This lineup offers: Strong protection, High burst damage, Healing, Buff support, Warrior faction bonuses. Many veteran players recommend Arthur and Marlena as the core duo around which an entire Warrior team is built.

Best Hero Pairings

Marlena performs at her best when teamed with heroes that can protect her, provide healing, or increase her damage potential. Choosing the right teammates allows her to survive longer and consistently unleash her powerful Energy-based attacks throughout every battle.

Arthur

Without question, Arthur is Marlena's strongest teammate. Arthur provides: Shields, Damage reduction, Frontline protection, Survivability. This allows Marlena to safely unleash her full damage potential.

Bella

Bella serves as an excellent secondary tank, particularly in PvE, where her defensive abilities improve survivability during longer encounters.

Celia

Celia supplies valuable support through healing and team utility, helping Marlena survive sustained battles while maintaining high damage uptime.

Claire

Claire contributes additional team damage and complements Marlena well in Warrior-focused lineups, especially during early and mid-game progression.

Hero Upgrade Priority

Resources become scarce later in the game. Experienced players consistently recommend funneling Universal UR Shards into Marlena once Arthur reaches a comfortable progression point. This approach maximizes your team's damage output and accelerates overall progression.

Instead of leveling every hero equally, prioritize:

1. Arthur

2. Marlena

3. Main Tank

4. Support

5. Secondary Carry

Best Game Modes for Marlena

Marlena shines in nearly every major activity.

Is Marlena Worth Building?

Absolutely.

Whether you're grinding through the campaign, testing your strength in PvP, or using her alongside your alliance bosses, Marlena remains one of the most solid value long-term investments in Last Asylum: Plague. Her burst damage, superior Energy Damage scaling, and synergy with Arthur ensure she remains a pivotal part of many successful Warrior teams. While she may take a solid investment of gear, Respend and resources, the long-term return on that investment continues to be appreciated throughout the late-game.  Focus on her Ultimate and Passive skills, stick to Attack-focused equipment, pair her with steady, reliable, frontline tanks, and try to hold off on Hero Awakening until you've fully invested in her basic progression. If you want a UR carry you can keep throughout your entire run, she is one of the most prudent heroes you can invest in.

Conclusion

Marlena is one of the best long-term UR heroes you can invest in for Last Asylum: Plague. Her impressive burst damage, strong Energy-based abilities, and great scaling enable her to be useful from the early game all through to endgame content. Focus on her Ultimate and Passive, give her gear with Attack and Critical stats, and make sure to have tanks or more durable frontline heroes (like Arthur) supporting her to get the most damage out of her in PvE and PvP. While hero awakening requires a lot of resources, it is well worth it when Marlena is at the correct level, stars, skills, and gear level. If you need an easy carry to lead you through hard stages, beat bosses, and perform well in arena, then one of the best heroes you should build and upgrade is Marlena.
