Pokémon Go: Sobble Community Day Event Guide

Sobble Community Day was a special Pokémon GO Community Day event held on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This event featured Sobble, the Water Lizard Pokémon. During the event, Sobble appeared much more frequently in the wild and had enhanced Shiny odds. Inteleon also became permanently able to learn its signature Charged Attack. Players received several bonuses during the event. PokéStops with regular Lure Modules had a very high chance of spawning Sobble. Spinning PokéStops during the event gave Community Day Field Research tasks, such as catching Sobble. Discover the Sobble Community Day Event in Pokémon Go, including all the bonuses.

Sobble Community Day Event Overview

The Sobble Community Day is a limited-time monthly event in Pokémon GO. This is a time when Sobble appears frequently. It makes it much easier to catch, find a Shiny, and collect Candy for evolution. The event is scheduled on July 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. However, some bonuses continued until 9:00 PM local time. During this 3-hour event, the following things happen.

• Sobble spawned everywhere in the wild at a greatly increased rate.
• The Shiny Sobble rate was significantly boosted compared to normal gameplay.
• Some Sobble could also have a Special Background, a feature introduced for Community Days in 2026.

One of the biggest reasons players participate is to obtain exclusive moves (Sobble → Drizzile → Inteleon). The Inteleon learned the exclusive Charged Attack (Hydro Cannon) if you evolved during the event or within four hours afterward. Players could purchase a ticket for exclusive Special Research to get multiple rewards. Looking to get the Sobble Community Day Ticket? OLD STORE offers the best and most money-saving deal.

• Catch hundreds of the featured Pokémon.
• Hunt for Shiny Pokémon.
• Earn multiple Candy and Candy XL.
• Obtain an exclusive move that may not be available again for months or years.
• Play with local communities through meetups and trades.

How to Find a Shiny Sobble

You can more easily find a Shiny Sobble in Pokémon GO during the Sobble Community Day. During normal gameplay, the Shiny Sobble is much rarer. Below are the best tips to maximize your chances.

Play during Community Day

During this event, Sobble appeared in huge numbers across the map. Its Shiny rate is heavily boosted compared to normal gameplay. Community Day shiny rate is about 1 in 20-25 encounters.

Check every Sobble you see

Every Sobble has its own independent chance of being shiny. You do not need to catch every Sobble just to check whether it's shiny. Catching is useful for earning Candy, Stardust, and completing research.

• Tap a Sobble.
• If it isn't shiny, leave the encounter.
• Tap the next Sobble.
• Repeat.

Use Incense

Make sure to activate an Incense during Community Day. It continuously attracts additional Pokémon, including Sobble. This basically gives you many more shiny checks over the three-hour event. During the event, Incense lasted 3 hours, making it valuable.

Visit PokéStops with Lure Modules

One of the special bonuses for the Sobble Community Day is an extended Lure Module feature. From the given time, the PokéStops with a regular Lure Module attracted large numbers of Sobble. Those Sobble still had the boosted shiny chance. This means you can continue hunting shiny Sobble even after the main event hours ended.

Walk Continuously

Standing in one place doesn’t let you find any Shiny Sobble. Instead of standing in one place, you must do the following.

• Walk between clusters of PokéStops.
• Check every Sobble.
• Keep moving to refresh spawns.

Don't confuse Lucky with Guaranteed

Shiny encounters are still random even with boosted odds, so each encounter is independent.

• Some players may find a shiny in their first few encounters.
• Others may need 50 or more checks.
• A few players may not find one at all despite playing the full event.

Shiny and normal Sobble look the same on the map. You only know after entering the encounter, where a shiny Sobble displays the following.

• Sparkling star animation.
• Alternate shiny colors.

Sobble Community Day bonuses

The Sobble Community Day in Pokémon GO included several bonuses. These help players to catch more Sobble and earn extra rewards. Below are the bonuses that get activated during Sobble Community Day.

Is Inteleon Strong in Meta?

The Sobble Community Day significantly improved Inteleon by giving it access to Hydro Cannon and adding Snipe Shot to its movepool. These updates made it much more relevant in the Pokémon GO meta. Before Community Day, Inteleon was considered only an average Water attacker. But after receiving Hydro Cannon, its raid performance improved.

• Hydro Cannon gives Inteleon a major damage boost.
• It moves into the upper tier of Water-type raid attackers.
• It can outperform several previously stronger Water Pokémon.

Inteleon has the highest Attack stat among all non-Mega Water-type starter Pokémon. Building an Inteleon with Hydro Cannon is worthwhile if you want a stronger Water attacker. You can also prefer doing this even if you enjoy raid battles or want a powerful Community Day Pokémon.

Here’s the full moveset of Inteleon in Pokémon Go.

• Fast Moves
• Pound (Normal)
• Water Gun (Water)
• Charged Moves
• Shadow Ball (Ghost)
• Snipe Shot (Legacy, Water)
• Surf (Water)
• Water Pulse (Water)

The Snipe Shot is more useful in PvP because it costs less energy. This one also has a 12.5% chance to sharply boost Inteleon's Attack.

Conclusion

The Sobble Community Day lets players catch multiple Sobbles in Pokémon Go. You can use this time to find a Shiny Sobble and earn multiple Sobble Candy and Candy XL.
